OK, maybe I'm old, or have no sense of humor. (And no i am NOT PMSing, but thanks for asking me.) But can someone please tell me the appeal of sites like Perez Hilton? Am I missing something? I mean, ok, some things are chuckle worthy, but damn this dude has a mean streak. Yes yes, my loyalties are showing. But for God's sake, there has to be some semblance of privacy and respect right? It's all well and good if someone is flaunting their lives, their relationships, or their crazy. Then it's out there for all to see. But all this celeb gossip that is so in now... it's too much. The invasion of privacy is insane. You don't have to look for it, it finds you. all you hear is Brangelina this or Britney that... who gives a crap?
They're all real people, with real issues, feelings, families, etc. a little decency please. It amazes me the things that are said, real or imagined, about someone simply because they have a recognizable face. People act as if they owe us something, because we like the movies, music, TV, sports... whatever it is they do. It baffles me. Why should they owe us because we choose to enjoy what they do, or don't. They do what they do, we do what we do. They don't owe us music or movies, we don't owe them a wad of cash. But we do owe them the courtesy of being respected like anyone else.
Bad form, Perez Hilton. Shame on you. (says the adult I am. ) F-ing douchebag (says the 12 year old I used to be.)
