Music of the Moment

Since it's summertime, that usually means blaring music from my house at any give time of the day. What can i say? We've always been heavily into music of most kinds, and were lucky enough to have passed that love to our kids as well. And we have a variety. My play lists can range from Janis telling us about her Bobby McGee to T-Pain wanting to Buy You a Drank. lol Seriously, there is very little I don't like. BUT, I'm curious to know your play lists of the moment. So here's what this brood is listening to, for the most part.

Of course we have "Summertime" by New Kids on the Block (now top visited artist and number 1 watched video over at vh1.com) - A great song for summer, and that's not just my biased opinion. It's fun, bouncy and just a good time. Great to dance around to, clean to, or watch your kids go crazy to.

"See You Again" by Miley Cyrus. Hey, I have an eight year old, ok? And my kids all love this song, so it's great to dance to with them, and funny to watch my daughter try head banging. To Miley Cyrus.

"Bleeding Love" by Leona Lewis. I just love this song. Still a semi up tempo beat, and the lyrics get to me.

Still got my Reba on there, who I absolutely cannot live without, as well as a couple select Saving Jane tunes (check them out, they're locals gone big and they kick some serious ass. The lead singer oozes girl power- and she's great for self esteem- especially that of young girls growing up surrounded by pressure. Girl Next Door- check it out, seriously!)

"Grey Street", "American Baby" and "Stolen Away on 55th and 3rd" by Dave Matthews Band. I love them, and I love these songs. Have an entire play list of just them, but these stand out for me.

"Girl From the Gutter" by Kina. Great song, great artist. Been on my play lists for years,. still finds a way to get me going!

"Pocketful of Sunshine", "Freckles", and "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. My favorite female
artist. she writes her own stuff, which makes the lyrics all the more realistic for me. Love her, love what she has to say!

There we go... that's just a taste of what we listen to (aside from the Jonas Bros., HSM songs, and still more Miley Cyrus.) Show me some of yours!
